If you’ve finally had enough of Zoom – and we don’t blame you – then there’s now an ingenuous way to get away from it.
A free web tool called Zoom Escaper puts an array of fake sounds at your fingertips.
So next time you have to talk to the family, or jump on a call with your colleagues, the doorbell can accidentally ring or the baby can suddenly start crying.
All you have to do to use it yourself is download a piece of audio software called VB-Audio that routes your audio through the website.
Once you’re in a meeting, you change the audio input in Zoom’s settings from your microphone to VB-Audio and let fly.
The tool was created by artist Sam Lavigne and, once you’re set up, it’s incredibly simple to use.
Here’s Sam guiding you through a tutorial for Zoom Escaper step-by-step. Enjoy never having to put up with another mind-numbing Zoom call ever again.
