iOS 14 is coming out today, and Apple users have been eager to get their hands on the update, with many keen users previously signing up the public beta testing.
Apple’s Craig Federighi said that iOS 14 is ‘the biggest update we’ve ever made to the Home Screen.’
iPhone users only have to wait a few more hours until the major update is available to download for free.

- Apple Maps – include guides for specific areas, cycling routes and electric vehicle (EV) routing
- Car Play now has a digital car key option
- App Clip feature – users can scan QR codes to download apps quickly

What time will iOS 14 be available for download?
iOS 14 will be available to download later today, Wednesday, September 16.
Although there is no set time for the release, major Apple updates in the past have been available at around 6.00pm BST.
Updates usually take quite a while, so users may want to activate the update just before they go to bed.
Make sure you have access to WiFi as the file size will be too large to be supported by mobile data.
